Win Blevins
This book manages to pack in information on the bison's natural history (the author claims those of us who insist on using bison are 'sticklers'), it's decline and recovery as well as it's place in folklore, Native American religion, and the ranching culture. It also includes a nice list of where to see buffalo. A great gift for anyone interested in coyotes, Native Americans and wildlife, and the southwest in general.
