We were surprised that this book, with all its big color pictures was just $9.95. This guide, produced by Bat Conservation International and the Texas Parks and Wildlife department, includes descriptions of Texas's bats, photographs, and range maps. I learned that I should be trying to pick out the Cave Myotis that roost with the Mexican Free-tailed Bats under the Congress Ave. bridge in Austin. Savvy folks who are tyring to lure bats into their bat houses will appreciate the write-ups on roosting behavior. A great book for the money!
