Thanks to all of our friends, customers and supporters who have helped Randy and I keep Naturally Curious going since his July hospitalization! We hope you'll bear with us while we figure out why he has lost his vision, and if it is permanent or temporary. We have several new titles in stock that I haven't loaded into the store yet, so please email us with any requests! Thanks

Birds of Mexico MP3-CD Sound Collection

Peter Boesman

Sorry, out of stock, we are waiting for a US distributor! If you have a device that can play MP3 files (computer, MP3 Player (IPOD, for example) or PDA with MP3 player) this CD will work for you. The bird songs are presented in taxonomic order, but each track is labeled so you can manipulate what you download and how you download it.

From the publisher: This MP3-CD contains 723 recordings in MP3 format of over 650 Mexican bird species.

A total of about 6 hours of playing time !

Anyone looking for audio-products offering sounds of Mexican birds will quickly come to the conclusion that there is very little publicly available. This is quite surprising considering the fact that Mexico is such a bird-rich country with a tremendous potential for researchers and birders alike. In recent years Peter Boesman visited Mexico several times to study birds, in places spread over the country. During these trips he recorded vocalizations of quite some bird species. Peter sincerely hopes it appeals to many people and will encourage them to study the wealth of birds in Mexico!

Together with the MP3-CD you will get a handy 20-page booklet including a manual how to use the MP3-CD, a complete species list and information on date and locality for every recording. This information is also included on the CD in the form of a webpage (use Internet Explorer) from which any sound file can be clicked directly thanks to the embedded hyperlinks; for mac users a PDF file can be found on the disc.
